Item/Description: Vintage 1971 Joe Cool “Snoopy and Friends”
& Woodstock Peanuts characters Golden jigsaw puzzle #4718, like new in
original box. This is the earlier, FIRST
EDITION version of this puzzle (it was later re-issued).
***Puzzle is COMPLETE with all 63 interlocking pieces. Pieces are extra large-sized for children ages 4 to 8.
The puzzle imagery adorably depicts Charlie Brown’s Beagle dog Snoopy wearing sunglasses and a “Joe Cool” sweater as he is nonchalantly and oh-so-cooly leaning against a brick schoolhouse building with his pile of school books stacked next to him. Snoopy’s best friend Woodstock, who is fluttering in the air nearby, is startled into dropping one of his own books as he is confronted mid-air by one of the many other Woodstock clones who are hanging out all around Snoopy as if they’re his personal entourage or groupies. The expression on Woodstock’s face is pricelessly “puzzled” (bad pun intended) ;~) because he can’t seem to grasp why most of Snoopy’s other little bird buddies are copycatting him by wearing identical“I’m too cool for school” sunglasses.
Highly cross-collectible, this adorable jigsaw puzzle will appeal as much to puzzle fans as it will to Peanuts characters (particularly Snoopy & Woodstock) devotees.
As entertaining to assemble as it is delightful to look at, it would display just beautifully framed!
